Since you were asking about Cambron and Yates as well as Shanks I
forwarded your message to Tom Cambron , who is an expert
on that family. You might also check out the Maryland Catholics on the
Frontier website which has info on the early Nelson Co. KY settlement. I
also copied several pages, but not near all, of a book called
Catholicity in Kentucky, which I found at Willard Library in Evansville,
which contained info about settlements in Nelson and Breckinridge Co,
which were the forerunners of the Union and Daviess Co. communities.
