Since I couldn't find a list for Logan or Muhlenberg Counties, I thought I
would try this list. I'm trying to locate information on the family of my
wife's grandfather. Here is what I have so far:

William Venable Porter
b. 15 Aug 1901 Lewisburg, Logan County, KY
d. 26 Jan 1953 Winslow, Pike County, IN
father: William Porter - b. Mar 1850 in TN d. 1901 in Lewisburg, KY
mother: Laura Venable - b. Oct 1852 in Kansas d. Dec 1906 in Lewisburg, KY

After William V. Porter's mother died, he was placed in the Christian Church
Widows & Orphan's Home of Kentucky by his uncle, Dallas Porter who lived in
Owensboro, Daviess county, KY. He was eventually adopted and raised in
Southern Indiana. I have found this family in the 1900 census and it lists
several brothers & sisters; Annie, Lonnie, Rollie, Ollie D., Dose. Based on
the 1900 census, this family was in Kansas in 1886, in Colorado in 1889, and
then in Kentucky in 1901.

Could anyone help me find out any other information on this family and
William Porter Sr.'s family and Laura Venable's family. I would appreciate
any info.
