Subject: [WCKY] VIRUS I HAVE RECEIVED 4 TIMES TODAY-WARNING!
Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 14:35:50 -0700

VERY IMPORTANT!

I'm sending this to everyone on my mailing list ~ this virus in NOT A HOAX!
I received a message in my mailbox this morning with an attachment.

"Hi, How are you
I send you this file in order to have your advice
See you later Thanks"

***NOTE THIS IS BEING SENT OUT IN SPANISH AS WELL AS ENGLISH!

Well, first off I noticed the attachment, and my rule is NEVER, EVER open an
attachment, even if it's from a relative. I will write to them first and ask
them if they sent me a message with an attachment. So I went on the web to
see if this was a virus reported by anyone. And sure enough, I found
information regarding it, click on the title to read the full article:

"Hi! How are you? worm rages round
The Inquirer
We're currently receiving dozens of emails from users who have obviously
been hit by the W32.Sircam.Worm@mm. And if we (and some of our readers too)
are receiving plenty of these, that means the worm is raging crazily through
the Wibbly Web"

Here is the URL in case you didn't receive this in HTML:

http://www.theinquirer.net/22070101.htm

Or go directly to Symantec Corp. (Norton Anti Virus) web site:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/ type="text/javascript">DisplayMail('mm.html','w32.sircam.worm');

As I write this, my Norton Anti-virus just came up, warning me that I
received yet another message with this virus. I checked and so far I have
received it in English 3 times and once in Spanish. My Norton Anti-virus
check caught them.

Bye for now,

Carole V. Beringer
