I have notice a lot of Surnames being given, and want to throw out a
different subject. In our family of MINTONS I have noticed a couple of
females names "PARAZADA" or "PARASADA". In going over census records for
Grayson and Edmonson Counties, I have seen several families with this same
given name. This is definity not an usual name. Does anyone have ANY idea
where this name came from. Our first instance was Princess Parasada (Sadie)
Minton, born 1841, sister of James Russell Minton, who married Rosanna
Skaggs. This is the same Parasada who married Dit Vincent.
Don't know how to search for this name, have tried Indian books, but drew a
blank. Any suggestion? Thanks.
