To All,
I just joined this discussion group and note the recent interest in
Haycrafts. My maternal great-grandfather was George M. Haycraft of Leitchfield;
married to Jewell Tilford of Grayson County in approx 1900. They both passed in
1968, leaving sons George R. (Ray) and Tilford and daughter June (Thomason),
all of Leitchfield. I have some of the lineage that I believe takes it back
to Samuel Haycraft, Sr., of Hardin County and on the Revolutionary War pension
rolls there.
Paternal side includes Boyds and Sanders, both from the Hardin and Larue
County areas. Grandfather was Harold A. (Sid) Boyd of Elizabethtown; his
father was Granville A. (Albert) Boyd of Sonora. Grandmother was Evelyn Sanders
(Boyd) of Sonora. Would like very much to take the Boyd line back to the late
1700's as well if anyone can help.
Many thanks,
Allen Boyd
