For everyone keeping records, in yesterdays post I had "...Aunt Kitty Ann Hayes, probably the oldest and most beloved citizen of the county being 91 years old...She is survived by one son, Plus Hayes, of this place...".

Thanks to VirJean Potter Bozarth I rechecked the paper and found that it should be Pius. She said that Pius is a fairly common name in the Catholic faith. So be sure to correct your records. Thanks again to VirJean.

Todays's post is one that was in The Edmonson County News from 1929. This has nothing to do with Edmonson County, but I thought it was funny!

His Gunnymoon

Los Angles,-Norman M. Britton, teacher of applied psychology, filed suit for divorce and asked for police protection from his wife, Mrs. Myra Britton, describing his honeymoon as a gunnymoon, Britton said his wife had a way of emphasizing her side of "psychological discussions by pointing a pistol at him." Figuratively speaking, Britton said his wife kept a gun in the small of his back all the time. Psychology is no match for a six shooter, said Britton.
