Hi all,
I am researching George Lewsby ABBOTT who was resident in Sheffield from about 1862 until 1877. He went there to work as an ARCHITECT for the firm of Architects FLOCKTON & son, which became Flockton and Abbott (I believe) around 1862. Flockton & son was said to be an old-established firm in Sheffield.
In 1877 he was involved in "an unfortunate railway accident" and retired to Devon.
I would really appreciate any help with finding about more about George, Flockton, architecture of the period, or how to find out more about the railway accident.
Kate
