Unfortunately Alt 156 will only work if an appropriate code page has been
loaded at boot time, something Microsoft do not automatically do for all
countries. In the international financial business arena, GBP is a common
abbreviation (avoids confusion with Maltese pounds etc) - along with USD to
differentiate from Canadian dollars and so on.

Hello all,

First Happy New Year to everyone.

Here is what you need to get the pound sign £

Hold down the Alt key & type in 156 (on number keypad at rightside of
keyboard) then release Alt key.

I have it wrote down on a peace of paper & keep it under the edge of the
keyboard.

Hope this helps all who need to use it.

Regards
