Hi!

I wonder if a kind person with access to the 1871 Census could check for a
Mary Gibson in the Holbeck area. I have her Marriage certificate dated 1
June 1871 which would be after the census date. She is shown to be 26 and
living on Holbeck Lane, Holbeck. Her father is said to be Thomas Gibson, a
joiner (deceased). She is included on the l881 Census with her husband,
Thomas Ellison, and two children. It shows her as being born in Leeds,
however, while I obtained her Marriage certificate, they were unable to
find a record of her birth. I am in a quandry as to what to do as I have
no idea when her father died or how old he was and I don't have any idea of
her mother's first or maiden name or whether she remarried, and there are
so many Gibsons Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
