I have a William West in my line who lived in Lincoln County, NC now Gaston
County, NC. He married a Jane _______ born 28 Aug. 1817. He is mentioned
in his father's will William West dated 1861, Gaston County, NC. Could this
be your William? I don't know if he and Jane had any children.
