Dear Mary,

My heart goes out to you on this matter. Sometimes we need something like this to break our thoughts and wake up to the fact that we really need each other in time of stress. I have just come a funeral memorial of a dear friend that had only been married just 16 months and died of cancer. Her husband/widower is also under a lot of stress at this time.

Bless you for sharing your grief with the rest of us.

If you have a sandpile in your yard or nearby,
please watch your children and talk to them about
the danger. I have talked to many adults who
didn't realize themselves that there was a
danger.

My son was the victim of a sandpile collaspe on
February 9, 2001. He was buried for we know two
hours, prounounced dead, and resurrected again by
our heavenly father. Now whether you believe in
God or not is your choice, so please don't feel
like I am forcing my belief of God on you, but
please be aware that sandpiles are dangerous.

When our story was published in the newspaper and
aired on "It's A Miracle" the message was
two-fold. First, to let people know that
miracles still happen today and secondly to warn
others about sandpiles. I guess we all ask the
question Why do some outcomes differ but only our
God in heaven has the answer.

This past Tuesdaay, October 8, another child was
the victim of a sandpile collaspe, but his
outcome was not a happy ending. In 15 minutes or
less, effort to save his life were unfruitful.
This the story that was reported by the Abilene
(TX) reporter news. Please pass this story to
your family, friends, and tell anyone that you
know has a sandpile.

Funeral arrangements are pending for Eric Shoe, a
13-year-old Eastland boy who died Wednesday night
after being accidentally buried in sand for
several minutes.

Officials with the Eastland County Sheriff's
Office said that Shoe and a friend were
trespassing Tuesday night at a cement plant on
Highway 3101, where they had been playing in a
sand pile.

The pair were tunneling on opposite sides of the
pile when Shoe's end collapsed, burying him from
the waist up in damp sand.

Officials said that the friend tried to save
Shoe, but could not pull him out of the damp
sand. The friend flagged down a motorist, who
performed CPR on Shoe and called emergency
personnel.

Shoe may have been buried in the sand anywhere
from 5 to 15 MINUTES, officials said.
