William Sthephen WILLIS born 15 Feb 1832 in Tennessee but moved to
Talapoosa Co, AL at an early age. He died 10 Feb 1879 near Athens,
Henderson Co, TX and is buried in the Pioneer section of the Sand Flat
Cemetery. He married Maragret A DAVIS. He served in Capt Warrens Company,
Bass Regiment of Mounted Calvary.

Children were: Sarah Jane Elizabeth Willis, 8 Jul 1862-7 Nov 1938 m Thomas
Jefferson PIERCE; Joseph Windle WILLIS, 24 Sep 1864-3 Dec 1940 m Willie
PIPER; Martha Lucinda WILLIS, 19 Mar 1867- m Coon CAPLES; Margaret "Amanda
WILLIS, 9 Aug 1869 m Culbertson G "Gip" HUDSON; Mary WILLIS, b 1870 m Ed
HANSON; W A "Missie" WILLIS, 19 Mar 1872 m W R HOLLOWAY; Emma WILLIS, 27
Jan 1875 m G Taylor BEASON; Addeline WILLIS, 18 Jun 1877-28 Sep 1910 m
Herbert F FAULKNER; William Stephen WILLIS Jr, 5 Feb 1879-Apr 1969 m Oma
MILES.

Several of the children moved to the Lamesa, Texas area. William Stephen
Willis Jr was a pastor of the Church of Christ in Bridgeport TX for a
number of years and in the Fort Worth area.
