o I have several 8mm films and some photos that apparently belonged to a
Marshall BITNEY in Omaha, Nebraska in 1961/62. I would very much like to get
them to a family member but have not been able to find much on the BITNEY
family.

o I have a friend who purchased a photo album somewhere in western Nebraska
or eastern Wyoming (most likely Scottsbluff or Torrington, respectively). It
contains only a few small photos, but some were identified (one even had a
location). When I
explained about getting "lost" treasures like this reunited with family
members, she agreed to let me post the information. If family members are
found who would like the photos, she will send them (along with copies of the
two album pages where the
identifying information was written in the album as opposed to being written
on the photos). She is not willing to sell the album itself; she's a
collector. Here are the photos:
1. "Uncle Oscar CHANDLERS house at Overton, Nebraska"
2. 1" x 1" photo of "Samuel" (as a young teen, I think)
3. 1" x 1" photo of "Ralph" (as a young teen, I think)
4. 1.5" x 2" photo of "Otis SUARE (GRUCE)" (a young adult man)
5. very dark photo of "Morris"
6. very dark photo of "Myrtle and Nora"
7. small photo of a young girl, perhaps 12 years, plus or minus, "Van Cleve"
(I have no way of knowing whether "Van" is her first name or part of her
surname; the photo has some extremely faint pencil writing on the back, but I
couldn't decipher it)
8. tiny photo (smaller than 1" x 1") of an unidentified little girl, about 3
to 5 years old.
If you are interested, please e-mail me with "Jan's photos" in the
subject line.

o I have the following found items:
-- A birthday party invitation for Marie MITCHELL of Hebron, Nebraska, from
Florence GREEN. Invitation appears to be from the 1920s. The name, L. E.
THOMAS, is on a slip of paper that was with the invitation. I would gladly
send this invitation to
anyone related or connected to these people.
