I don't know anything about William Esmonde, but I know that the Esmonde
family was connected to Johnstown Castle in Rathaspeck, Wexford. With
regard to William's point of origin, he may have left from Cork. I know
that some of the Allens who left Latimerstown, Rathaspeck, Wexford in
the 1790s were on a ship out of Cork.
