Subject: [WEX] MURPHY and FENLON, KILANE?

Hello, I am a new subscriber and I am trying to trace my family history. However, I feel like I am faced with a mountain. Murphy must be like trying to research Smith (and I have one of them as well!).

Unfortunately, I have very little information, even about my immediate grandparents. They lived in Clonegal, Wexford and some of their grandchildren are still there, but have been unable to help very much, Being quite young they have developed an interest in family history yet. My grandfather John Murphy married Bridget Fenlon, both now deceased. I know they married in Octobe 1921 and that John was from the township of Monomolin and Bridget was from the township of Grange.

John's father was called Tom and all my mother can remember of his is that he was always referred to as Big Tom as he was very tall and had a long black beard. He married twice, his second wife being Annie Donovan. His first wife was my great, great grandmother, but nobody can recall her name.

I know my grandfather has a brother called Patrick and that he married Minnie Jacobs.

Any information would be much appreciated.
