Hello everyone. I am a new subscriber to the Wexford mailing list. My
families of interest are Saunders, Edwards, James, and Kelly.

My primary research is concerned with my gr gr gr gr grandfathers Henry
Saunders and James Saunders (brothers) who were both from Tiscoffin
Parish, Castlewarren, Kilkenny County (right on the border with Wexford)
prior to emigrating in 1821 or
thereabouts to Beckwith Twp in Lanark County ON, Canada. Henry
Saunders(1793-1864), m. Sara Edwards(daughter of James Edwards and Mary
James), and James Saunders(1780-1851), m. Catherine Kelly. I have done
much studying on Beckwith/Montague Twp records here in Canada and know
that there are at least 3-4 or more other Saunders families listed in
the census records for these townships in Canada but I can't figure how
they are related. They all emigrated about 1821 and I am sure that they
are tied together somehow and wish to sort out them all out. The other
Saunders include:

1. Thomas Saunders Sr. m. Jane Saunders (later moved to Lambton County,
ON)(Jane is said to be a sister of Henry and James above)
2. John Saunders(1801-?) m. Mary Jordan
3. James Saunders(gentleman)(1780-186?) m. Mariah Stephens?
4. James Saunders(1801-?) m. Jane

I believe there must be a connection between my ancestors and the many
Saunders found using the LDS site and listed during the period c.
1650-1750 in the region around Saunders Crt, Kilpatrick, Wexford
Ireland.
