Hi,
I am new to the list and I wanted to ask if anyone has any information on
the BETHUNE family. I am specifically interested in JOHN and MARGARET
BETHUNE. I don't know what county they lived in, but I do know that they
had at least 3 daughters. These daughters immigrated to Rhode Island
sometime between 1840-1850. The oldest daughter's name was MARGARET. She
was born c. 1824. NANCY was next born c. 1829 and the third was MARY b.c
1831. MARGARET married an Alexander Pinkham, who was a mariner. I found
them in a 1850 census for Providence Rhode Island, U.S. My gggrandmother
was NANCY BETHUNE. She married William O. West and had 4 children.
Any information would be great. I'm sorry that I don't know what county
they lived in, I only know that they were from Scotland.
Thank you!
Leslie Kraus
