Thanks Ken..a good thought, but I can verify the 3 brothers that
emigrated to Co. Antrim, Ireland who are "heads" of our family. My
curiousity is with John "Jean", the Huguenot and any verification that
he did, indeed, flee to Scotland. Now, the 3 brothers may well have had
a father other than John "Jean" but that unknown "someone" would have
had to have three known, named sons who went to Ireland in the late
1600's. (I base this time of the dates of their births--1645-1650).
There is also the question of whether or not John "Jean" emigrated as
well to Ireland. In all, it's rather an academic question still
unresolved by the historians and genealogists...the point of my query
being some verifaction of the existance of John "Jean" in Scotland ca
1630-1645. Thanks for suggestions though...each thought might well
provide the breakthrough that has stymied researchers lo these many
years.
