Hi Doreen,
I saw your e-mail to Ray and the town Falkirk mentioned. My maternal
ggrandfather, Alexander Hamilton, and his father James Yure Hamilton, were
born in Glen Village, Falkirk Scotland. Alexander was born Dec. 6, 1865 and
James August 18, 1842. James and his wife Janet Muir came to America in
1869 with Alexander and their other son David. I was told James was a clay
miner in Scotland. In America they settled in Pa. and were coal miners.
Would you be familiar with the Hamilton's from that area? I have more
information if you are interested.
