Dear WHEELER-Listers:
First of all, please excuse my duplicate posting. I often send from
different mail accounts, but try to preserve the same forwarding address (as
below). When I saw that your listserver had flagged my posting as "{not a
subscriber}", I thought perhaps it would not go through; so I created
another mailbox and used that one to re-subscribe.
Also, forgive my idiosyncrasy, but I know that my postings to these lists
will be archived, where the email addresses can presumably be harvested by
spambots (programs that spider the web looking for recognizable email
addresses) and then sold to spammers on CDs. A few years ago I put some
postings out on Usenet genealogy newsgroups, and for years thereafter
received spam at those addresses. Not until I changed ISPs did they stop.

As to the locations for my Wheelers, I should have included it, but wanted
to be concise. But I read somewhere, probably in _History of the Wheeler
Family in America_, that in 1650 "Wheeler" was the most common surname in
America. So, more context is obviously needed. Also, I have some primary
data on some of Ephraim Wheeler's children:
1. Ephraim WHEELER (b. abt. 1720)
"Of" Greenwich, Hampshire, MA, but would seem
to imply that he could not have been born in
"Greenwich" as such, since the township was
not incorporated until in 1754 from
Narragansett Township #4.
Marriage given as 10 Nov 1746 in
Pelham, Hampshire, MA; but doc?
Perhaps Acton, Middlesex, MA???
(Did not find death at Quabbin; but ??)
sp: Hannah MARKS (b.1724;m.1746)
Birth given as Abt. 1724 in Greenwich; but same
comment about incorporation of township.
children:
(Not documented yet)
Betty Wheeler, b. 22 Feb 1746
James Wheeler, b. 26 Nov 1748
John Wheeler ???
Documented by birth record "#9-Greenwich p. 28" (Quabbin):
(Some dates a little hard to read.)
Sarah Wheeler, b. June 10, 1751
Ephraim Wheeler, b. December 18, 1753
Hannah Wheeler, b, April 8, 1757
Randall Wheeler, b. April 18, 1758
Benjamin Wheeler, b. April 10, 1762
2. Randall WHEELER (b.1758 Greenwich, Hampshire, MA; d.1837)
Birth document is at Quabbin Visitor Center.
Most likely buried on his farm in Springfield, Erie, PA.
Marriage location given as Greenwich, but record not found yet.
sp: Experience ALDEN (b.1766;m.1783;d.1838)
Most credible birth location Stafford, Tolland, CT. Doc??
Most likely buried on farm in Springfield, Erie, PA; but perhaps
at daughter's home in Ashtabula Co., OH.
3. Experience WHEELER (b.1792;d.1851)
Birth usu. given as Chesterfield, Cheshire, NH; but
actual record not found yet.
Marriage (1) record to HOBART not found yet;
Marriage record (2) to RUDD not found yet;
Marriage (3) to Joseph HANCOCK at Kirtland, Geauga, OH
22 Mar 1835 is documented.
sp(2): Erastus RUDD (b.1787;m.1816;d.1834)
Birth highly likely Bennington, VT.
Location of Marriage not known;
poss. Chesterfield, Cheshire, NH.
Death 6:30 pm 20 Jun 1834 at Rush Creek, Clay, MO,
as per histories.
