Wow!! Way off on this info. Both the Delaney family and Whelan family were from Newfoundland, Harbour Grace area. They did marry in Sydney in the early 1900's.

Parents of James-- Martin Delaney and Catherine James

Parents of Margaret---David Whelan and Mary Coady
