William White, Hawkins County, Tennessee We have found a document
in an old document box for William White . The heading is - State of
Tennessee, Hawkins County-------To all persons-Greeting: Whereas, as
our County Court held for the County of Hawkins, at the Courthouse, in
Rogersville, on the first Monday of October 1863, it appeared to the
Court that William White late of said County, had died, having first
made his LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, in which Issac White is appointed
Executor and the said Will having been proved and admitted to record,
and the said Issac White has qualified as Executor. It was ordered
and LETTERS TESTAMENTARY iss, &c.
We, therefore empower the said Issac White to take into your possession
, all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, of the
said Testator, wheresoever the same may be found; and all just debt of
said Testator and all the legacies specified in said Will,well and truly
to pay, so far as the goods and chattels, rights and credits, may
extend; and in all things to administer said goods and chattels and
credits, according to the ten(letter not readable) of said Will and the
law of the land. Witness, Jas. R. Pu???, Clerk of said Court, at
Office, in Rogersville, the first Monday of October,1863.......Jas
