Hello Everyone,
Have been reading with much interest all the mail coming through this new
medium.
I have asked for help in the past to try to locate info on my great
grandfather, James Whitney . Have now come up with another clue that might
help. Got wind that possible his name was James Harvey Whitney, born 1833 or
1934, father Moses Whitney. James Harvey sounds reasonable as his first son,
Harvey James Whitney, my Grandfather, has the names reversed. To properly
determine that James Harvey Whitney is the right one, his wife must be Dilly
Jane (Jennie) (Flint, Maiden Name) Whitney, children--Harvey James, Delmar,
Ida, Benjamin and Marquis D.
I have noticed in the past that some of you people had mentioned the name
Moses Whitney, and thought possibly they midght have reference beyond him to
a possile son named James Harvey Whitney, who could be the one I am looking
for. If anyone has information and source along these lines, I would very
