Thanks to Vickie for the will extract. I think your suggestion of checking
with Torrey's original notes on microfilm may well bear fruit. I wonder if
there is someone else in the group that might be interested in undertaking
this research? If so, how about volunteering publicly so we'll know it is
getting done? There is not a FHC that is easily accessible to me, and I also
am 125 miles from any source of the MA Vital Records collection. Certainly
the data about the dates and age at death implies the probability that Mary
Whitney Pierce is indeed Deacon Joshua's daughter, but more evidence is
clearly needed.
