I have sent a lot of Alexander people to your bountiful page on Alexanders.
The main correction I had was that you missed the emmigration from Scotland
to Ireland as our Alexander ancestors were Scot-Irish. Are you revising? I
am searching for parents of Ezekiel Alexander Sr. of Mecklenburg married to(
Martha Robison)?born 1726, had brothers James (and Elizabeth)and William (and
Rebecca) was in Mecklenburg by 1753-or was deeded land then., bought land
from James Alexander of Cecil Co. Md. in 1778. Had sons named, James Taylor
and Wallace and Ezekiel Jr. There is an Ezekiel on your list- that you
misspelled Ezekiah-, son of James and Margaret McKnitt Alexander of Cecil
Co., but most family historians think he died young, as there was a second
Ezekiel b 1754 to James and second wife, Abigail. (I believe you have the
two wives reversed in sequence). This Ezekiel probably did not come to
Mecklenburg as all his children were born in Cecil Co. MD. He died in
Tennessee. I have tried to find out more of the last of the seven brothers
who came to America from Ireland, John Alexander c. 1640's.
