Hello Everyone

I am new to the list and researching the WITNEY family from
Chinnor, OXFordshire and descendants that migrated to Australia.

William WITNEY, Farm Labourer and his wife Mary, were
Living in Chinnor, OXF in 1843

1807 son John WITNEY m Patience WILDER, dau of Simon & Sarah WILDER
(1) dau Sarah WITNEY born 1834 migrated to Australia on 25 Dec 1843
(2) son William WITNEY " 1836 " " " "
(3) dau Hannah WITNEY " 1838 " " " "
(4) son George WITNEY " 1840 " " " "
(5) son Johnathan WITNEY "1843 " " ", aged 7 months.

1809 son Edward WITNEY a Farm hand, Currier, Groom, Tanner was born
26 Dec 1809 in Chinnor and baptised at St Andrew's Church, Chinnor, OXF.
Edmund married Elizabeth RATLEY the daughter of Benjamin RATLEY & Hannah
WHITE, in England (ca 1831) with whom he had twelve children.Edmund and
his brother John and their families were Assisted Immigrants to
Australia who arrived "United Kingdom" on 29 Apr 1844.

1. 19 Sep 1829 Henery WITNEY m Margaret LEWIS - died Merriwa, NSW AUS 1893
2. dau circa 1831. Died Chinnor, OXF in Dec 1843
3. 31 Dec 1834 Thomas WITNEY died in Sydney, NSW in 1844, child aged 9yrs.
4. dau circa 1836. Died Chinnor, OXF in Dec 1844.
5. 11 Feb 1838 Robert WITNEY m Annie HARVEY in 1867. Died at Stanmore 1925
6. 29 Jun 1840 Mary Anne WITNEY m Henry EZZEY on 6 Mar 1865. Died in 1919
7. 02 Jun 1843 Edmund WITNEY, died in Hobartville in 1845, infant 19 months
the following children were born in Australia :
8. 20 Aug 1845 William WITNEY m Isabella Jane BURNS at Bathurst NSW in 1866
9. 30 Apr 1847 Elizabeth WITNEY died in Hobartiville in 1848,infant 9 months
10.24 Oct 1849 Jane WITNEY died at Richmond, NSW in 1850, infant.
11.03 Jan 1852 George WITNEY m Sarah Millicent BURNS in 1876
12. 1856 un-named male child died at Richmond in 1856
