Hi John:

Thanks for the offer of looking up Alonzo W. Whitney at the FHC. I don't
have the film number - I thought I did but all I have is a Batch number
(6020784), a Sheet number (11), and a Source Call # (1621572). However, you
could get the film number the same way I did, look up Henry in the IGI and go
through the screens on sourcing and you will find the film number. In the
line for Henry in one of the IGI entries for his name (there are several) it
shows "Re: Alonzo W. Whitney", which I take to mean the entry came because
of his (unspecified) relationship to Henry. However, the data in the IGI
entry and the film have no other identification for this Alonzo. What I
probably should have done, but didn't because this is not my line, is follow
up by searching the IGI or Ancestral File for this Alonzo W. Whitney. You
might want to try that and let us all know what, if anything, can be learned
from that

It would seem to me that the best use of the list of names and dates is to
assist someone in finding the vital records they are searching for by
locating a particular one of Henry's descendants at a specific time and
place, which can then be the focus of a search.
