Dear WRG:

Here is some more bits and pieces I picked up looking at Whitney entries in
the family history of another family. The title of the book from which the
below is taken is:

"John Parker of Lexington & Descendants from Deacon Thomas Parker of Reading,
MA, 1635 - 1893", by Theodore Parker, 1893; Charles Hamilton Press. Sutro
Library, San Francisco, CA, CS71 P24, 1893

p. 39 Andrew Parker, b. 14 Feb 1693, m. Sarah Whitney of Lexington Aug. 20,
1720
p. 41 Sara, daughter of Isaiah & Sarah Whitney of Lexington, bap. 22 Apr
1703 as 3rd in family of seven. Made peace with the church 4 Nov
1724, when 3 of their children were baptized. Admitted to the
church in 1728 (footnote - The grandfather, Eleazer Whitney, was
settled at Cambridge Farms in 1693, where he died in 1697. The
Whitneys, however, did not long remain in Lexington)
p. 57 Betsey Parker, b. 23 Mar 1769, m. Amos Whitney of Worcester, no issue.
p. 61 Mary Mead, b. 1 May 1753, m. Dec. 3, 1772 Abraham Whitney
[a paragraph from "Watertown Genealogies" about John and Elinor
Whitney]
Our Eleazer Whitney, father of Isaiah was doubtless [?-AEG] the one
given in the
Watertown Genealogies as son of Thomas Whitney of Watertown, and
baptized
7 Apr 1662, twin brother of Elnathan <p. 643 (Watertown
Genealogies?)>, so therefore the lineage is Sarah-5, Isaiah-4,
Eleazer(sic)-3, Thomas-2, John-1.
p. 101 Amos Parker, born in Hubbardston, 17 Oct 1777, m. Elizabeth Whitney of
Bolton, daughter of the minister at Bolton.
p. 292 Charles E. Forrestal, b. Dec 17, 1823, m. June 27, 1850, Ann Augusta
Whitney of Royalston. They lived in Winchendon. He d. 7 Feb 1872,
she d. 10 Nov 1887.
p. 335 Joel Damon Parker, b. May 7, 1836, m. Dec. 26, 1864 to Catherine M.
Whitney,
daughter of Francis N. and Catherine (Bird) Whitney.
p. 377 Lucy Whitney, native of Bolton, m. Joel Brown, a native of Concord.
They lived
in Boylston and had a daughter, Mary Calista Brown, b. Boylston,
Mar. 13, 1832
p. 385 Ephraim Barnard, son of Phineas and Betsy (Whitney) Barnard, b. 19
Mar 1805,
married Dorothy Flagg Parker. Children:
1. Eliza Ann Willard Barnard
2. Sarah Parker Barnard, b. 13 Apr 1830, m. in Harvard, 29 Mar
1853, George Whitney of Stow, b. 28 Oct 1823, son of Asa and
Sally (Brooks) Whitney.
21. Frederick A. Whitney, b. Stow, April 8, 1858
22. Georgiana Whitney, b. Harvard, June 21, 1871

This is all the notes of Whitney references I could find in this book. I
hope it will be useful to someone in the WRG.
