Dear WRG:

For those of you who might wish to send Robert Ward a brief personal note of
condolance, his address is <>. Having been the recipient of
your kind messages on the occasion of my own mother's passing two years ago,
I can say that brief notes from my on-line cousins were most appreciated.

I have mentioned from time to time the generosity of Ken Dill of the NE-Roots
list, who is typing in extracts from the 1881 Machias (ME) Union (newspaper).
There were two Whitney items in the most recent of these, and he has given
me permission to copy them to you.

I have been working on expanding the lines of the family of Moses and Sarah
Knight Whitney, and have taken a number of them out about three generations
further, mostly those who remained in the Stow - Harvard area for well over
100 years. I will be sending another Gedcom to Jon Aston on these fairly
soon, but if there is anyone who is interested in this line of descendancy,
please write to me and I will try to pass on what information you need. This
will extend the work that Robert Ward has available on his web site by about
two more generations in many cases.

Happy Hunting!

Allan
