Subject: Witney12 Problem

After downloading Witney12 I tried to put it in my PAF select file. The
input went all right for a while but then I started getting error messages.
"ERROR: Bad record number (16705), file: Witney12\select\notes2.d." It told
me to hit enter which I did and after tapping enter several times it went on
inserting names and then gave me that message again. After this happening
five times before I was through, it finally finished with 8467 Individuals
and 2939 Marriages which I understand is correct.

I thought, great, everything is OK now. My mistake!! When trying to check
through the names I kept getting the same message with the same results. I
kept trying to access the names but finally gave up and deleted all as I
went out.

I know that a lot of hard work went into Witney12, and all the others, and I
want to thank Jon and everyone else involved, but can someone please tell me
how I can avoid this problem.

In the little that I was able to get to I found that my Alice Whitney,
married to Nathaniel Woods, was not listed as the child of Joshua, the son of
John and Elinor. Is there a problem?
