Here are three:
1. Royal Whitney (Ezra, Ezra, John, Isaiah, Thomas, John); b. 11 Apr 1801 in
Rockingham Township, Windham Co, VT; m. Mary E. (-----) before 1830.
He appeared on the census of 1810 in Rockingham, Windham Co, VT, with Ezra
Whitney. He was engaged in agriculture in 1820. He appeared on the census of
1820 in Orcean (Ossian) Township, Allegany Co (now Livingston Co), NY, with
Ezra Whitney. He appeared on the census of 1830 in Burns Township, Allegany
Co, NY, (the family consisted of 1 male 15-20 [Royal-age understated?] , 1
female 15-20 [wife - name unknown] , and 1 female 0-5 [unknown daughter] ). He
appeared on the census of 1840 in Burns Township, Allegany Co, NY, (the family
consisted of 1 male 30-40 [Royal] , 1 male 10-15 [unknown] , 1 female 20-30
[wife-name unknown] , 2 females 5-10, and 2 females 0-5. One person was
engaged in manufacturing/trade). He appeared on the census of 1850 in Ossian
Township, Allegany Co (now Livingston Co), NY, (owned $17,216 in property).
He
appeared on the census of 1860 in Ossian, Livingston Co, NY, (owned $23,200 in
real estate and $1,200 in personal estate). He was a farmer in 1860. He
appeared on the census of 1870 in Ossian Township, Livingston Co, NY, (owned
$21,320 in real estate and $3,191 in personal estate). He was a farmer in
1870.
Mary E. (-----) was born circa 1811 in NY.

1. Uriel Whitney (John, Isaiah, Thomas, John) was also listed in records with
the name Royal Whitney; b. 11 Sep 1757 in Shirley, Middlesex Co, MA; m. an
unknown person 16 Dec 1787 in Gorham, ME; m. an unknown person 7 Aug 1819;
d. 10 Nov 1835 in North Yarmouth, ME, at age 78; bur. in Congregational
Cemetery, North Yarmouth, ME.
He enlisted at beginning of the Revolution (April 19, 1775), in Col.
Prescott's regimentar 17 Years old. At the Battle of Lexington and Concord,
then marched to Cambridge and helped to build fortifications on Breed's Hill.
was at the battle at White Plains in 1776, served until some time in 1777.
Settled on a farm on the north end of Pleasant Pond in Otisfield, ME in 1778.
Served in the Bagaduce Expedition against the English at Ft George, ME. Moved
to Gorham, ME and married in 1787, and then bought land in North Yarmouth, ME
and moved there about 1798. Owned one farm, of 67 acres, on Humphrey's Road,
and part of lot no. 12 in the 120 acre division, on the east side of Royall's
River, with the buildings, thereon. He was a noted schoolteacher in that
community. Granted a pension.
