Check out this site that offers to make you copies of wills and associated
materials for $5.00 each. NY, PA, Ohio, and about half a dozen other
states are available. The indexes are not too hard to navigate, and if
you know a person's name and place of residence, you can find him/her and
order the copy. I found Erastus Whitney and Betsey (Chadwick) Whitney in
Jefferson County, NY, in 1850's-1870's. Has anyone on our list actually
ordered wills from sampubco? Tell us about it.
