Dear Robert L. Ward, Allan E. Green, Jon Aston, and Kathleen Jenkins:

First and foremost thank you all for the information sent. It answered a
question. Thanks for the author, title, and date of publication of the
Pierce genealogy. I request the place of publication and page(s) so that I
my complete the foot note.

Second point: My name is Jan (pronounced "yon") Koso. Edith Bookstein is
Edith (Leavis) (Koso) Bookstein, my mother. I was there for Thanksgiving
when I initially found your web sites. Please discontinue sending e-mails to
her.

My link to the Mace family is through my mother. She is the daughter of the
late Alan Arthur and Suzanne Elizabeth (Mace) Leavis. Her conjectured line
is Walter Vincent-8 (Charles Henry-7, George William-6, 5, Joseph-4, John-3,
Joseph-2, Robert-1). I am certain back to George William-5. I am still
exploring other leads. This would make Robert Mace the only common ancestor
between us. Reuben-2 is his first son (by his first unknown wife) and
Joseph-2 is his third son (by Hannah (Gibbins) (Hibbert) Mace).

Robert Mace was a fisherman residing Gosport, Isles of Shoals, New Hampshire.
A town on a group of island just off the Maine and New Hampshire coast. The
town no longer exist.

On and off for about ten years I have been gathering data on the Mace family.
It is my intention to submit for publication, in the New England Historic
Genealogical Register, generations 1-5 some time next year. I intend to
combine the journal article, with generations 5-10, and publish a book with
Heritage Books
