Dear Friends and Colleagues of the WRG,

I have just completed uploading the first part (A-Eliza) of the card index to
the Barbour Collection of Connecticut vital records for the surname WHITNEY.
This index is a state-wide combined index of the vital records of all towns in
Connecticut, covering all events before 1850, and some after. You can examine
it at <http://www.erols.com/rlward1/whitney/conn/bbrindex.html>;. As I get
time and energy, I will transcribe the rest and post it for your perusal and
use.

If anyone finds typographical or other errors, please contact me so that I can
correct them.

Once this is finished, I will be attempting to do the same to the state-wide
index to Connecticut church records, and then the state-wide index of the
Hale Collection of Connecticut tombstone inscriptions and newspaper death
notices. Finally, there is an index to the collection of Bible records for
the state of Connecticut which could also be transcribed. All these records
are available at the LDS Family History Centers on microfilm.

I would be glad to get some assistance with these tasks. If anyone wants to
help, please write.
