Dear Annabel,

You should have received Robert Ward's reply by now. I want to put in a few
more cents,

The information he gives with regards to the children of Peter and Mercy
agrees with the WHitney family Bible that belonged to Jonathan Whitney, son
of Peter with a few exceptions:

1) Every reference there is to Marcy, instead of Mercy

2) Mercy/Marcy Case b 15 Aug 1745

3) Lois is listed as Louis and b 31 Mar 1768

My records say that Jonathan m Eunice Story in Randolph VT (my home town!)

Pierce's Whitney Genealogy (which has errors!) has your Calvin Eaton. He
says that Peter Whitney son of Peter WHitney m (1) Edith Davis and (2) Sybil
Ainsworth. He was a blacksmith. He d 1838, resided in Hartford VT. Children:

Sybil b Hartford, m ____ Smith, resided So. Royalton
Erastus
Paschal P. b Dec. 13, 1806, m Malvina Stillman
Amanda Melvina m Sept 12 1832 CALVIN EATON res Concord NH
Mary Maria m 1838 Albert Langmaid, res Concord NH
Jane
Horace His name was changed to Eaton, resided Boston
George L b Aug 17 1825 m Caroline Jane Goss

The above needs to be verified, but it gives you a start.

Mercy Case was the daughter of Jonathan Case and Alice Hatch
Alice Hatch was the daughter of Joseph Hatch 2nd and Mercy Delano
Mercy Delano was the daughter of Jonathan Delano and Mercy Warren
Mercy Warren was the daughter of Nathaniel Warren and Sarah Walker
Nathaniel Warren was the son of Richard Warren and wife Elizabeth

The proofs for Richard Warren to Alice Hatch is contained in the Mayflower
Families in Progress report for Richard Warren (fifth edition). I have had
private communication (will have to locate) from one of the compilers of
that volume that verified Alice was the mother of Mercy Case who m Peter
Whitney. When that MFIP volume goes to 5 generations from the current 4 I
expect that the connection to Mercy Case will be included.

The deed I mentioned from Josiah Whitney Senior to Josiah Whitney Junior was
dated March 12, 1736. Note Josiah m Mehitabel Fuller Mar 2, 1737. The deed
is witnessed by Thomas Fuller and his wife Mehitabel (Herring) who signed
her mark. Thomas is the brother of Daniel who was the pastor of the
Congregational Church in Willington 1728-1758. The deed is marked as
Recorded Dec 13 1744.

ENjoy!

George Parker
