Dear WRG:
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading discussions of the WRG. A recent exchange of
messages from Annabel Bixby, Robert Ward, and George Parker touched on my line
of the John and Elinor Whitney family ( Albert Lotall (10), Albert Radenbaugh
(9), Albert Galitan (8), Wait (7), Thomas (6), Peter (5), Josiah (4), Josiah
(3), Jonathan (2), John (1)).
My cousin, Adriane (Whitney) Fredrickson, prepared a Whitney genealogy for a
history course in 1988. Her extensive research included time spent in Boston,
Watertown, Weston, etc. to examine vital records, maps, plots, grave stones,
etc. I will encourage her to visit Robert Wards web site and to join the
Whitney Research Group.
I would very much like Adrianne to contribute her work to the specific
discussion around Josiah Sr, Josiah Jr., and Peter. For example, Adrianne's
information has Josiah Sr. b. May 19, 1664 m1, Abigail; m2, Mary; d. 1717.
Josiah Jr. b. 1698; m1, Elizabeth Grant, February 28, 1725; m2, Mehitable
Fuller, 1737; m3, Lydia Ballard, February 1759; d. June 26, 1783.
Peter Whitney, b. April 10, 1738; m. Mercy Case, April 21, 1763; d. June 19,
1826.
Adrianne's research includes a lot of information on the children of Peter,
and some on the lines beyond.
What a joy to see the rich contributions made by each of the WRG members!
Thank you all for your diligent work!
Best Regards,
Gregory Whitney
