As someone whose WHITNEY'S come primarily from the Erie County, PA vicinity, I
am curious about your posting regarding Clarissa Arminia WHITNEY. I have had
little luck finding information about my WHITNEY'S, but here is what I have to date:

Orson WHITNEY b. circa 1865-1870? d. Unknown
m. Elsie GRAHAM (daughter of Charles GRAHAM)
+ Arthur WHITNEY b. 24-Feb-1892 Greenfield Township, Erie County, PA d. May-1964
SS# 210-03-1947
m. Bertha L. Cleary (formerly McCleary) b. 24-Apr-1890 d. Mar-1976
SS# 163-12-0054 Greenfield Township, Erie County, PA
+ Other children: Unknown

I would be most grateful to anyone willing or able to provide information on
the above.

I must also add a thanks to the folks who have invested tons of personal
energy into the WHITNEY list. In my opinion, it is by far the most
comprehensive, well organized, reliable, and accessible list to which I
subscribe. My hat is gratefully off to you all!

Searching for information re: ancestors of my ggg grandmother Clarissa
Arminia WHITNEY, b. 22-Sep-1821 in Erie County, PA, d. 23-Sep-1917 in
Dawson, Dallas County, Iowa, m. in 1840 to Nathan G. LEWIS, possibly in
Ohio (I believe all their children were born in Ohio, some in
Springfield County, Ohio).
