Thank you Ellen for sending me your line of TRAVIS / WHITNEY families. Your
envelope arrived snail-mail the other day. I'll look over it and let you
know I have any questions as I add it to our database. (Please send me your
e-mail address again! Thanks.)

For the rest of you Whitneys - Ellen's line connects to Henry Whitney of
Long Island and Connecticut. She sent me information on the descendants of:

PHEBE WHITNEY, b. 12 Dec 1777 and d. 10 Feb 1866; married on 4 Jan 1797 in
Yorktown, New York to JOHN TRAVIS, b. 11 Sep 1774 Cortlandt, Westchester
County, NY and d. Feb 1832 Yorktown, NY.

This is PHEBE-5 WHITNEY (Jeremiah-4, Nathan-3, John-2, Henry-1), daughter of
Jeremiah Whitney and Eva Youngs.

Her husband, JOHN TRAVIS, was the son of James Travis and Phebe.

I'll be going out of town for about a week in the a.m... Will play
"catch-up" with all e-mail when I return. Hope everyone is having a
wonderful summer!
