Dear Warren, Whitney and NE-Roots researchers:

I am at a point of confusion about the origin of the Rebecca Warren who
married a Levi Whitney on 15 Oct 1799 in Westminster, Worcester, MA. There is
also a marriage of a Levi Whitney to a Rebecca Warren 10 May 1804 in Stow.

The latter Levi was the son of Jacob-6 (Abraham-5, Abraham-4, Moses-3,
Richard-2, John-1) and Esther (WALCOTT) Whitney, and the birthdate for this
Levi of 11 Nov 1780 is consistant with a marriage in Stow in 1804. The Levi
Whitney who married a Rebecca Warren in Westminster was born
1 Jan 1777, son of Abner-6 (Samuel-5, William-4, Nathaniel-3, John-2,
John-1) and Elizabeth (GLAZIER) Whitney, and that birthdate is consistent with
a 1799 marriage.

This coincidence makes me uncomfortable with two couples with exactly the same
names married so near in time to each other in two towns about 20 - 25 miles
apart. Can anyone familiar with these Whitney families, or, better yet, any
Warren researcher clarify the origins of these two Rebecca Warrens, so as to
clearly delineate the basis for the resolution of my confusion?

Thank you all for giving this matter your consideration.
