Found the following in a book entitled "Compendium of Early Mohawk
Valley Families" by Maryly B. Penrose, Volume 2, Genealogical
Publishing Company, Inc., at Page 903:

>From the 1790 Census are found Christopher Witney, Joshua Witney,
Martha Witney, Thomas Witney, and William Witney.

A death record of Laura Whitney, w/o Asakel Whitney, who died 13
August 1833 at age 26 and was burned in Section 12 of Colonial
Cemetary, Johnstown (JC: 189).

A probate abstract for Moses Whitney of Palatine dated 4 May 1814 and
probated 21 June 1814. It lists his legatees as his brother William,
his son Moses, and his brother-in-law Dr. Levi Maxwell (and his wife
Sally).
