Dear Rick:

The Sarah who married Daniel Harrington is the one that is the daughter of
John-2 Whitney and Ruth Reynolds. The one with the birthdate above is that
Sarah. The other Sarah Whitney, daughter and first child of John-2's younger
brother, Richard-2 and Martha Coldham Whitney is shown in Robert Ward's
outstanding 6-Generation study as born Oct of 1653 and nothing further is
known of her -- i.e., she may have died young.

The confirmation of this is in the will and inventory of John-2 Whitney in
Watertown. His estate was probated 12 Mar 1692/3, Watertown, Middlesex, MA;
"agreement between Ruth Whitney, widow of John Whitney, late of Watertown,
decd., and John Whitney, Nathanll. Whitney, Samuel Whitney, Joseph Whitney
and Benjamin Whitney, sons of said John Whitney, decd., also Enoch Lawrence,
Daniel Harrington, and Daniel Warren his sons-in-law, and Mary and Hannah his
daughters unmarried..."
Later on it speaks of "Daniel Herington and Sary his wife,...

See all this and much more on Robert Ward's web site, at:

http://www.erols.com/rlward1/whitney/

and look at the 6-Generation study of the descendants of John and Elinor
Whitney. There is also much of value to be found in the Vital Records that
the Whitney Research Group has transcribed, the transcription of the Pierce
book, and much, much more.

Good Luck, Enjoy, and write to us/me again if you need further help.
