This was Edith E.-8 WHITNEY, b. 19 Sep 1841, Yorkshire, NY, whose lineage
(according to Pierce, at least) was [Paschal Paoli-7, Peter-6, Peter-5,
Josiah-4, Josiah-3, Jonathan-2, John-1]. I have serious problems with the
lineage before Josiah-3, however.
