I would be happier than a woodchuck if some kind soul or group would
Find time to help me find my Maternal side of the Family. I have been
working on this for about 6 years (to no avail) I just got a computer 13
months ago. That leaves me with that disease called,( Computer
Illiteracy ) My Grandfather CYRUS C. WHITNEY b 10 Aug. 1851, D 17 Sept.
1919 at Tumtum, Washington. He married EMMA FRANCIS BEDLOW Date &
location unknown, Grandmother was born in Scranton, Pa. 29 July 1859, D
29 Dec. 1929, Family info says that JOHN F. WHITNEY b aug. 1834 was
grandpa's father. He married PENELOPE WARD of New Brunswick, Ca. 26
July 1856. My older Sister says that They were both born in London,
England. Other family info says that John was born in Maine and Cyrus
was born in Vermont. I can find NO records of them there. I do find a
John Whitney in Johnstown, Ont. Ca. Born aug 1834 but married to the
wrong woman and no (Cyrus) in his family.[ Pierce Whitney History ]
Please, I am 76 years old and in bad health. I sure would like to get
this figured out before I become one of the Ancestors that someone is
looking for.Thank you for any help that anyone can give me, no matter
