More Kudos for Tim and the Pierce Project. I was bobbin around on the
Wyoming County NY website and noticed one of the persons listed with
local lineages had WHITNEY included in his surnames. Sure enough there
was a dead end WHITNEY. So I hurried off to the WRG search engine,
typed in "Susan" and "ELLIS" and came up with this information that
seemed to match the Susan he was dead ended at. I am sure glad we did
that. Makes all those bleary eyed nights re-reading the 2nd proof
readings worth it. Thanks again everyone!

Shawn,
Thanks very much! That certainly does look like my Susan Whitney who
married Grindal Ellis! The information I had was that they had three
daughters...not worth mentioning, since they were only girls.
I'll have to get out my Whitney genealogy and see how she fits in there.
I think that my Nathan Ellis and Sarah Thayer were the only ones who
migrated to Ohio and N. Illinois.
Thanks again. Big help!
