JONAS WHITNEY (Benjamin, Jonas, David, Benjamin, John, John), born
Marlboro, N.H., July 4, 1805; Married December 1835, Charlotte FORMAN
of Ithaca, N.Y. He graduated at Dartmouth College in 1833, after which
he spent time in various teaching positions in New York State, then
settled in Missouri. He died March 21, 1869 as a resident of Hematite,
Jefferson County, Missouri. Children: Emilie Charlotte, Charles
Benjamin, Mary Ellen, Ida Isabel, Hattie.
