I am searching for the ancestors of Aaron WHITNEY, b. abt. 1806,
either in Watertown, MA, or Fairfield, ME. He was the son of
Aaron WHITNEY and Hannah ABBOTT. A genealogy of the ABBOTT family
states that Hannah's spouse was "a desc. of John and Eleanor Whitney,
who embarked from Ipswich, Eng., Apr., 1635, and settled in Watertown..."

Hannah ABBOTT (b. 1781) was the daughter of Sgt. Joseph ABBOTT of
Lincoln, Mass., and Sidney, Maine. I assume that her husband,
Aaron, was probably born about 1780, perhaps in Mass. or perhaps
in Maine.

Can anyone help me with the line from John and Eleanor WHITNEY of
Watertown, to Aaron WHITNEY, the husband of Hannah ABBOTT?

I would be happy to share information regarding the descendents of
their son, Aaron, b. abt. 1806, of Somerset County, Maine.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
