I would like to thank everyone who took the time to answer the Whitney
Research Group's Online Survey. There were 116 completed surveys received!
The compiled survey results can be found on the WRG website at
http://www.whitneygen.org/.

Some quick highlights of the results:

One third of those responding have been on our mailing list one year or
less. 18% are not on our mailing list at all.

Nearly half visit the website occasionally, with sizeable numbers
visiting more often. 12% said they had never before been to the website.

The website layout and color scheme received high marks. Nearly 80%
voted each excellent or good.

57% of those responding said they were descendants of John and Elinor.
27% have not yet connected to an immigrant.

One of the best findings: Our group has extended the lineage of almost
half of those responding!

All of the comments received are included on the results page, but I did
remove the names of the submitter from several to protect their privacy.
There are some good requests in there, and we will be looking at them to
see what we can do to implement some of them.

Several people requested more photographs of their Whitney relatives on
the webpages. In response to this, I have begun work on a script which
will allow people to upload photographs and attach descriptions to them.
I'll send out another message when this is ready for use. In the
meantime, would anyone like to volunteer to beta test this feature?
