Hello Whitney-L cousins! Thank you for the interesting
e-mail I’ve read since joining the list 3 months ago.

I will be travelling in England (for the first time)
during the first three weeks of April. Have you any
suggestions for a Whitney with a beginner’s interest
in genealogy? My wife & I are renting a car, and we’ll
certainly visit Whitney & Hay-on-Wye in Herefordshire.
I expect to be able to check my e-mail over there.

My Whitney ancestors have lived in Canada since the
arrival of (David) John in (the future) Ontario in
1784. Hereunder is my Whitney pedigree (ending with
my parents), as compiled by my aunt. I cannot
presently go farther back, because we thought John’s
father to be Nathaniel son of “your” John-1, rather
than “your” Henry-1, and we need more time to
(re)study the evidence. At any rate, we may be able
to help fill a few holes in Canadian Whitney
genealogy.

I’m happy to have found the WRG site, and I hope to
have more time soon to mine its riches.
