Hi All,
Since this is a Rootsweb list, and I run a few RW lists, you might like to
know that Rootsweb does not allow exectuable (binary) or HTML attachments
to list traffic.
This makes it most unlikely that you will get a virus via Rootsweb, and I
have not heard of it happening in 2 1/2 years. There have been a few false
alarms, of course, and viruses have been sent by list members responding
off list.
So the genral comments about precautions should still be followed, but this
might help in tracking down where they came from.
I also use Eudora, and have it set to only send plain text for normal
messages, to avoid the risk of passing a virus on.
HTH,
Malcolm
