Hi all.

Someone was willing to do a look-up in the 1902 Chenango County Directory for
one of my other surnames. Not finding any, they checked my Whitney surname
and came up with the following list. Since it doesn't help me much, I
thought I would share it with the group in case it helps someone else in the
group. The book lists where the people lived, occupation and property if
any. There are only a few examples in the book where age is given and
usually the person is in their late 80's or in their 90's.

WHITNEY, William T. (mailing addr. Niveveh, Broome Co) lived on road 35,

In the town of Columbus:
WHITNEY, Bouton A. (mailing addr. South Edmeston, Ostego Co) road 29, dairy
w/21 cows, farmer on shares for A. J. Spurr of Vernon, Oneida Co., on 116
acres

In the village of Greene:
WHITNEY, Frances A., widow of Abram T. WHITNEY, boards on N. Chenango St.

In the town of Norwich:
WHITNEY, P. Burdett, road 4, carpenter

In the village of Norwich: (now a city and county seat)
WHITNEY, Frances, Mrs., domestic, at 30 Adelaide st.

In the village of Oxford:
WHITNEY, W. Calvin, stone cutter, house on Scott St.
WHITNEY, Milton L., (Whitney & Pughe) house on Scott St.
Whitney & Pughe ( Milton L. Whitney and Lewis L. Pughe) grocers on Navy
Island St.

In the town of Sherburne:
WHITNEY, Ralph C., road 68, laborer

In the village of Sherburne:
WHITNEY, Caroline E., resident, house on E. State St.
WHITNEY, Charles W., farmer on 30 acres, age 91 years
WHITNEY, Edson L., general merchant, farmer on 292 acres, house on N. Main St.
